Welcome to the website of the Road to the Isles Agricultural Show. This year was the 22nd annual Show and was held on 10th June at Camusdarach Farm, Arisaig, by kind permission of the Stuart – Orchard Family. Please have a look at our location page for details of how to get to the Show Ground.
The Show focuses on the animals reared in the area bounded by Knoydart, the Small Isles, Mallaig, Morar, Arisaig, Lochailort, Glenfinnan to Lochy Bridge and south through Ardnamurchan to Loch Linnhe and Loch Eil.
As well as the livestock, horses and handicrafts, there was plenty more to see and do for all of the family. Here's some more information on some of the entertainment that was at the show:
Adults & High School Children: £7.50
Primary School & Younger Children: FREE
We try to highlight the interests of all the families concerned with crofting, farming or fishing, so there is a thriving handicrafts marquee exhibiting everything from vegetable animals from nursery school age children through knitting, sewing, painting, sketching, photography and carving to all manner of delicious home baking.
And to round off the day there was a Show Dance in the evening in the Arisaig Astley Hall from 8.30pm. Gunna Sound were entertaining us this year.
